Happy Astral Inversion eve all your Rock n Rollas and thuggas from other mothas out jamming across the sea. I bring some sad news this evening, it seems another young lady from the middle city has been reported as missing. This is the 4th one for 4 days in a row now. Pray to whatever thing you call a god for her safe return. The Deep Sea has been all achatter about a certain leader of the Halocene making a visit to The Rock on the hush hush, if you see him please don't get starstruck. Also it seems that Kwon and the Confessors have been on the move lately, heading towards the Eberron system. No doubt panties will be in a ruffle. Enough of the news for now, here is the latest jam from Jimmy and the Squids.
¶ Session 3 (09Feb2023):
Everyone is all in a tizzy about the inversion gone absent, some are saying the end of everything, but we all know the apocalypse is just getting out of bed every morning. Seems that some locomotion happened in Gifftown last night. Apparently Alistar, the leader of the Holocene Federation was visiting his sister last night and was visited by a tickler. Seems he got tickled real good and might not laugh anymore. Word from The Deep Sea is that Prince A. was holding a meeting with the 7 to broker some kind of peace deal with star eyes no more, well I guess that will be put on hold, but that is a lot of damage to Prince A’s cred. Also sounds like they caught some folks responsible for all this trouble and who had been kidnapping the young ones. Let’s hope a tickler visits them to put all this misery behind us. Tune in this afternoon for a 500 Astrals trivia give away, but enough of that, here is the latest from Zippity Zappity, it’s called the clap.
¶ Session 6 (13Apr2023):
Well well well, the big wigs have seemed to arrive. All the big boys and girls of the federation have made it to the Rock. There are reports of the opal fleet approaching the Rock to be here this evening. Who will be in that entourage, will it be the big man himself or will he send someone else. Prince Andru has decreed that this announcement be played to all you cool cats:”Attention Bralian residents, an accord has been struck between the Holocene Federation and the Galaphene Empire that the Rock of Bral is accorded neutral ground and will remain as such as not parties come to harm. All delegates from both the Federation and the Empire are hereby under the protection of my decree and any harm inflicted upon them will be punishable by imprisonment, including up to death. I urge all residents to act appropriately.” Wow that has got to hurt to announce after the tickler got old big daddy Giff. We have heard that his pup has come along in his place, he is hot about the whole thing. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. In other news the doomsayers continue to talk about the end of the world as we know it with no astral inversion. The Federation has dispatched a research team around the Astralis Corona to take measurements and report back, it will be interesting to see what they find.
¶ Session 9 (4May2023):
I've got some bad news my fellow jammers and rollers. Seems that the talks at the palace didn't go well at all. Accusations where thrown out that Prince Andru was an imposter, you can guess how well that went over. Captain Ma. challenged Rhin to an honor duel where she defeated her and cut her tongue out. Guess she won't be chirping about Prince A. anytime soon. Not too long after that we found out that the giff tickler won, ole Alistair went to be one with the Astralis, riots broke out in Gifftown and at least 15 goo folk were melted down in the process. Any plasmoids should stay well clear of Gifftown for the foreseeable future. After that bit of news hit, ol Ali Junior exploded in the peace talks, lashing out at Prince A. and the Galaphene delegation. Rumor has it he spit at empress Kwon, which had the kind of effect that you would expect. The war is back on and Prince Andru has joined with the Galaphenes. If you are a mage, you might want to take this time to get off The Rock post haste. The mages guildhall has already shut it's doors in anticipation of an inquisition. It also seems that Galaphenes agents have launched an attack on The Deep Sea, who even knew such a thing was possible? My fellow deep divers have told me about friends being caught in recursion traps, essentially trapping their minds The Deep Sea while their bodies lie on a coma, odd thing about it all too is that these reports of the attack came before the peace talks broke down at the palace. One of the telltale signs that you might be walking into a trap is getting feelings of dejavu and seeing the same objects twice. Stay vigilant if you are diving in. These are dire times for the Federation yall. The reports we are hearing just don’t make any sense. The bulk of the Galaphenes were having a pow-wow near Eberron, and people say poof, smoke and mirrors, they were gone. The entirety of the Federation was racing to Oberron, and then out of the blue the skies turned white around The Rock, Galaphene ships as far as the eye could see and they were heading in the direction of Xerxes. Ain't no way the Federation is making it back in time. Looks like our small fry giff guy might not have a home to go back to.Also some strange lights have been seen emanating from the Astralis. Some say it was like shooting stars, others say the sea itself looked like it was on fire. Clearly no one knows what the Astralis is up to these days. Well either way The Rock will keep on rockin on. Here is a new jam from Vinny and Goobers called Capena Capers.
¶ Session 37 (29Feb2024):
Well space kittens and deep dive mongrels, it’s been almost 100 closing of the eyes since the whole system has been shuffled up. Where do we stand in this time? Well we had a visit from the queen bee herself, who everyone thought was dead. The daughter that came back from the void stepped foot on the rock and use it as a launching point to crush Xerxes and imprisoned ole Ali junior beneath our very feet. The federation has fractured with the Eberronains and the Capennans siding up with the Galaphene. Things are getting heated y’all, and their is still the lingering question of how the empire was able to show up so quickly and undetected, fleets like that just don’t blink in and out of existence. Currently the alabaster fleet has its sights set on quelling Gaia and Kaldheim. In some other disturbing news the void itself seems to be expanding. It draws closer to Eberron more than it has ever been. Also some violent fanged hombres keep appearing near the void graveyard. No doubt the Kaldheimens are giddy about new baddies to hunt.Some people are reporting that they swear they saw the Astralis stirring again, maybe they have had a bit too much of the bottle to know for sure, but no doubt the eyes of ojos would know. Well that is the news wrap up for now, time for a new jam from Jerry and the Springers, called That ain’t my baby I swear.

Well for those of you without a direct view of the big eye in the sky we’ve got some news for you, it seems like it's starting to blink and cry. The damn thing has been unmoving for months and now it looks like it's leaking in the stars itself. Of course this has not stopped the war effort, seems the whites have finally got the trees surrounded. The metal men and half heads have engaged in full allied war now. The eyes of ojos have not been heard from in a while, talk in the sea is that the whole damn planet they call home went kablooey around the time the Astralis got even more weird. At this point. It looks like the entire system will be under Galaphene Control in short order and our zombie queen bee is leading the charge. No word has come from Cappenna in some time, but their warships appear to be staying out for now. Might as well get some apropos songs in before we are all singing galaphene anthems, here is 5 dwarves and and elf with, we are all mages.

Breaking news sea surfers, the siege of Gaia has broke. The Alabaster Fleet has charted a course for home and all reports indicate that Capenna did a double dirty stab in the birdy. They are high tailing for course home base. This could give the Gaians the chance they need to think of a new strategy because we all know that Capenna will be paying the blood price. Come across girl in white dress sobbing with a ragdoll
Six alcoves line this hall, each one numbered from one to six. On the floor of each alcove, a lit candle gently flickers.
From the hall’s far end drifts a low moan. There, barely visible, sobs the apparition of a small girl hovering over a discarded rag doll. “Names, names,” she cries. “I can remember them all except the one I need.”
The hall is lined with six alcoves, each one with a unique numeral between 1 and 6 carved above it. A verse scratched into the back wall of each alcove is made visible by the candlelight.

Dragon pops back out, bites Algorex knocking him unconscious, then slashes at Obyron knocking him unconscious too
We kill the dragon, see the sphinx, now we're back in the room with the reflecting pool

Treasures are heaped around the room: gold and silver coins; a gilded harp; a jeweled wine flask; pillows of silk; and fine clothes draped over wooden mannequins. To the east, an engraved stone disk is set into the floor of an alcove. To the west, a rectangular steel plate mounted on the wall is polished to a mirror-like sheen.

- Forfax negotiates with him - now we're going after Gen'eesee
An underground cathedral opens before you. At one end, a sculptured balcony perches atop five rearing stone serpents. Blood dribbling from the serpents’ jaws falls into a semicircular basin, and from there flows along a sloped trough into a wide stone bowl set into the floor. South of the bowl is a mezzanine, prominently situated atop which is a cauldron of steaming broth that exudes fleshy odors. To the west, a huge gong carved with snake patterns stands on a second balcony.

The air in here is moist and sticky. Natural light spills from cracks in the ceiling, and mud coats the floor. Stone workbenches are laden with clay bottles of various shapes and sizes. Toadstools, snakeroot, and belladonna plants grow among the clutter, fed by water seeping from above. Standing near the plants is a hairless man with scaly skin and a bronze syringe. Lurking in the shadows around him are five slouching humans that reek of decay.
An underground river opens before you. Stalactites hang low over its surface, and dripping water echoes in the dark.

Algorex and Obyron go out scouting

- Spirit eventually returned to Wyrmdoom and harassed people

Everyone hears Forfax over the intercom: "Attention: This is your Captain speaking. In the light of recent events, concerns have been raised about my judgement and my beliefs and rightly so. Even I have come to question whether I am fit to lead. My time as captain has delivered mixed results and since arriving in this world, no small amount of tragedy. Most recently, my actions are directly responsible for Tahvo being possessed by some evil and Kanush's death. I believe it unfair for me to expect anyone to follow me blindly after these happenings.

I follow the threads of Fate and where I find a knot I try to unfoul it. I believe I, and by extension WE were brought here for a purpose. I believe it is no coincidence that we arrived 10 days before a fairy queen will make her annual visit to the Scrape. In our time here, we have helped these people, improved their farm production, healed their sick, rekindled a relationship between the Goliath's and the Townsfolk, destroyed denizens of the dark city, reclaimed the ancestral homeland of the Goliath's, fought a dragon spirit and it's legendary companion and released an evil that means to bring an army of abominations down upon their heads.
Over the next 3 days, I intend to release Tahvo from his possession, resurrect Kanush if his spirit is willing, vanquish the Army of abominations and meet this fairy queen.
Once I have balanced the scales, I Intend to leave this world. Those are my intentions, not as your captain but as Forfax, chosen of Celestian, Space Angel.

After a dramatic pause the intercom clicks open again: "And by the way, we found a magic deck of cards that can grant immense power and unspeakable misery in equal measure. If anyone is interested in trying it out stop by the captain's quarters. Fair warning, each card drawn is likely to leave a tattoo or brand upon your body and there are no take-backs. When you draw a card you are fully in the hands of Fate."

Zilla announces she plans to leave the planet in 3 days' time -
- Algorex is going to help recruit crew members
- Will try to focus on seedier parts of town given Zilla's mention of returning to smuggling

- 3000 years ago there was a great battle in that city. The forces of winter combined against what was called the "nightmare"
- The forces of winter consisted of The Goddess Auril, the Queen of Winter Mab, and the ??? ← Matt missed this part
- Passed corruption onto things they made from themselves - children but not quite
- Children came of age and came seeking their birthright
- They made battle against the nightmare and staved it off - for a time
- Corruption of winter spread more
- Auril was slain and the world was doomed
- Cycles of nature were interrupted - winter no longer had hold on the world
- Eventually, Levistus came to succumb to the darkness and the nightmare began to spread
- Mab took action - sacrificing a great deal of her power, she built a prison near the door that helped seal the nightmare
- In that prison, she trapped Levistus
- "Queen Maeve is able, but she still never held the power that Mab commanded"
- "Winter never forgets. If a grudge was declared, a grudge will remain"
- Maeve has appointed guardians at the prison - the Wardens might know more, assuming they still exist
- This is not the only world that fights against the nightmare
- A source of power was locked away - a great weapon of the nightmare itself
- Don't trust the Fae - they are fickle to a T but they'll never lie
- Don't listen to the whispers, they never do any good

Fighting some flying wasp creatures as we enter the city
- Algorex mans the Mangonel
- Zeta and Walter man the Ballistae
- Obyron shoots with his rifle many a time
- They are very large - larger than us
16 charges of Flying bug poison harvested by Zeta
- Distributed 4 per person besides Forfax
- Shawn in Discord: “Walt gives his charges to algorex. He’s not messing around with that stuff. His skin has fallen off enough already tyvm”
and the target must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. While poisoned in this way, the target is also paralyzed.
Zeta uses featherfall and we all gracefully jump off the ship into the city
Pass without a trace gets us around some really horrible creatures in the city
15-16 devlish looking creatures skulking around the obelisk. Giant worm-like creatures erupt from the ground and swallow 2/3rds of them while the rest scatter
¶ Session 34: 2024-01-11
- Walter made some cymbal monkey pogo stick devices to distract the worms ("bangers")
- Obyron grabs Algorex and flies above the group while everyone tries to jump across the rocks
- Except Forfax who's just blissfully walking in the sand??
- One of the noise devices gets destroyed (They're working!)
- Algorex threw whisper at a bone devil and killed it. While it was returning, Algorex saw eyes on the hilt of Whisper and heard in a "sultry feminine voice" whispering right into his ear a kind of shuddering "uhhhhhh"
- Obyron and Algorex both almost get swallowed by worms, but saved by Zeta's flash of genius
- Other side of door is a set of catwalks and platforms, creatures waging battle across the platforms, some sort of portal on the other side with Tahvo fighting the creatures
- Tahvo goes through the portal and disappears
- Two creatures follow after him and it snaps shut
- Many devilish looking creatures fighting the elf-ish people
- Insect creatures seem to be fighting with the bone devils
- "This is the space between worlds. We must reopen the portal to get to the prison cells. High wardens Aurinelle and Ashiok have engaged this enemy. Will you help us?"
- "The runes open the portal, blood is the key."
- "Give your blood to the runes and defeat these devils. We must not let Levistus reclaim his body!"
¶ Session 35: 2024-02-08
Group spreads out and fights off the bone devils while the wardens activate the consoles
Door appears in the center
Regroup in the center and go through the door
Floor is cracked and gouged, purple light eminates across the floor pulsing with energy, almost in sync with like a heartbeat
Steps going up about 20 feet - can't make out top of steps
Can hear loud noises like explosions in the other room
Runic symbols in 4 corners of room and purple haze swirling out of those corners
Tahvo is barely recognizable
High wardens are fighting Tahvo trying to restrain him as he tries to get closer to the door at the end of the hall
Door at the end of the hall is the one Obyron kept seeing in the deep sea
Walk by prison cells holding creepy creatures
Tahvo releases one creature (the Onyx looking one)
Algorex knocked prone with a nat 20 saving throw :(
Algroex pressed up against a cell to hide and met eyes with a many eyed creature where he rolled a nat 1 on a con save
Algorex turns 53 acid damage into 6 (evasion + resistance to acid + uncanny dodge) but now has eye balls and mouths all over his body that aren't supposed to be there.

Algorex has bits and pieces of memories of mauling Obyron, stabilizes Obyron by shoving his pseudopod into Obyron's lungs and feeding his body oxygen through the pseudopod.

Warden gives us a device we can shatter on the ground to open a 2-way portal to their realm as a thank you for our service
Algorex tries to focus on the new eyes - sees himself sitting in a schoolroom - things are hard to read - teacher says to read what's on the page - stutter & mumble but can't - teacher slaps him across the face and threatens to kick him out of the school - run into a bathroom, look in a mirror, eyes are severely cross-eyed
Resting while waiting for our ship to come pick us up - Forfax signaled them with sky writing

- One of Algorex's new mouths looks like the mouth on the "planet"
- Try to talk to the "planet" with his mouth

Well space kittens and deep dive mongrels, it’s been almost 100 closing of the eyes since the whole system has been shuffled up. Where do we stand in this time? Well we had a visit from the queen bee herself, who everyone thought was dead. The daughter that came back from the void stepped foot on the rock and use it as a launching point to crush Xerxes and imprisoned ole Ali junior beneath our very feet. The federation has fractured with the Eberronains and the Capennans siding up with the Galaphene. Things are getting heated y’all, and their is still the lingering question of how the empire was able to show up so quickly and undetected, fleets like that just don’t blink in and out of existence. Currently the alabaster fleet has its sights set on quelling Gaia and Kaldheim. In some other disturbing news the void itself seems to be expanding. It draws closer to Eberron more than it has ever been. Also some violent fanged hombres keep appearing near the void graveyard. No doubt the Kaldheimens are giddy about new baddies to hunt.Some people are reporting that they swear they saw the Astralis stirring again, maybe they have had a bit too much of the bottle to know for sure, but no doubt the eyes of ojos would know. Scarab of Death
This small pin appears to be any one of the various beneficial amulets, brooches, or scarabs. However, if a living creature wears or carries it for 1 minute (including in a bag or backpack), the pin changes into a horrible burrowing beetle-like creature. The thing tears through any leather or cloth, burrows into flesh, and reaches the victim’s heart in 1 round, causing death. A DC 20 Dexterity saving throw allows the wearer to tear the scarab away before it burrows out of sight, but he still takes 5d6 points of piercing damage. A properly worded wish spell cast before the creature reaches the heart can also save the victim. The beetle then returns to its scarab form. Placing the scarab in a container of wood, ceramic, bone, ivory, or metal prevents the monster from coming to life and allows for longterm storage of the item.

- Creature in the back with a staff - footsteps of the giants seem to match him stomping his cane/staff

- Forfax: "I need not destroy your entire party. Go back to where you came from. We can leave you in peace"

- We're able to get about 95% of the materials needed for nuke but some of the more delicate components have been destroyed in the crash

- Plinth above the gate in a language we don't speak but it reminds us of gates above other cities we've been in that just announce the name of the city
- Forfax notices architectural frills on buildings that remind him of jewelry that dragonborn creatures wear
- Motifs in the windows that bear a striking resemblance to the Astralis itself
- Zeta suggests maybe this city WAS the Astralis before it got destroyed

- "If you let us approach and complete our mission we will leave peacefully"
- "If you cross the threshold into the inner ring you will face wrath. This is your second warning and there shant be a third"

- Forfax yells back at the voice and says we intend to go forward anyways but we don't want any trouble
- Gravelly response: "Begone usurper. Depart through the warp gates"
- Everyone feels air pressure change behind us and see an "X" pattern ripple in the air and an inky black portal tears open
- "Leave this place. This is your last opportunity"
- Forfax yells: "The great sphynx Terashi told me my fate. I must go to the gravity well! Is that what is at the center? Is that what this place is?"
- Feminine voice that sounds like 5 or 6 young girls all speaking in an unsettling unified voice: "The sphynxes speak in half-truths of things they can only comprehend the edge of. Trust them not. Depart from hence through the portal."
- Forfax: "Are you a Sphynx then? Because you gave me just the edge of the question I asked. I seek the gravity well. Is it here?"
- Voice: "We are the ones chosen to wake from the slumber"
- Forfax looks down: "No meaningful answers. You say not to trust Terashi or any sphynx. But the two that we have met so far seem to have been honest with us."
- Hear what sounds like a large explosion to the west of our current location.
- Feels like a small earth quake has happened
- Gravelly groaning voice lets out a scream that everyone can hear now, not just Forfax: "Breach of the inner gate. Fall back. The well must remain pure."
- See oddly tinted smoke with a shimmering effect almost like oil rising to the west
- Forfax thinks we may be here to protect the gravity well from whatever just attacked rather than to destroy it. Perhaps we are allies of these people rather than enemies
- Forfax: "The gravity well must remain pure. That sounds right and true"
- Portal behind us has collapsed back into being space in the street again
- Zeta says either way we need to get there
- Forfax tells Walt to punch the gate
- Forfax yells: "The gravity well must remain pure! How can we help?"
- Receives no response
- Zeta: "We mean to enter it not harm it! We will protect it!"
- Deafening silence in response
- Walt tries punching the gate open but fails
- Zeta makes an intelligence roll and tells walt to try to slide it open instead

- Forfax flies to the other side of the gate and looks for a way to open it

- Oby flies over the wall
- Zeta starlight steps to the other side

- Forfax searching left building for way to open the gate and asks Algorex to do the same in the right building

- Subtle difference in the first 5 steps, almost like they're raised higher almost like a pressure switch
- Oby: "I will help Walt if he apologizes for constantly shitting on me"

- Algorex and Forfax talk about the steps over the communicators
- Forfax flies over the steps to the second floor and sees some sort of lever that looks like it might be a mechanism to open the gate
- Over the communicator: "I found a lever. Let's see if this works"

- Hear a click. A couple more clicks go by then the clicking stops and doesn't seem like anything's happened
- Forfax over communicator: "Algorex, if you can avoid the first steps see if you have a lever up there as well. Perhaps we have to pull them at the same time"
- Algorex tries to disarm the pressure plates

- Top of steps and see something that overlooks Walter doing Walter things as well as a lever
- There's also a book on the table but it's scribbled in a language that doesn't make sense.

- Forfax: "Bring the book with, let's try to get Walt over here. On three. One, two, three"
- Algorex and Forfax pull the lever and the gates open for Walt
- Forfax points in a direction: "Presumably the gate's that way" and starts walking. Everyone follows
- See something laying across the road in on the other side of a bridge
- Appears to be some kind of dark mass that looks like it maybe is a pile of something that is very dark in color almost like it's absorbing the light. 2-3 ft wide by about 1.5 feet high
- Acrid stench in the air akin to burning flesh
- Forfax goes up to right before the bridge to get a closer look
- Dull red at this point but looks like some kind of slain creature laying in a puddle on the ground
- Forfax walks around it keeping 10 ft away from it: "Even dead, looks like something we should avoid"

- Thinks this must be some type of creature tainted by the void wastes but looking around doesn't see any telltale signs of the void wastes being here
- Party follows Forfax giving the creature a wide berth
- Gate seems to have been blown to smithereens and is open now. Bodies of slain beings all over the ground. Some seem familiar, some we haven't seen before.
- Forfax: "Hopefully we're not too late"
- Zeta: "Yes, let's hurry"
- Through the gate is a great pyramid with steps going up to a door that looks like it is open
- More bodies of slain creatures dotting the path
- Defended the temple with whatever semblance of life they had
- Telltale signs of combat
- Used power cells
- Spent grenades
- Clearly weaponry from outside this place
- Black swirling mass on top of the pyramid
- Almost looks like one of those portals that Research had been opening up but looks more erratic
- Light seems to be spilling out of it
- Party presses forward up the steps
- Nothing stops us walking into the temple
- Opening that drops down into inky blackness but pathways lead to central spire that looks like glass and lights up the temple
- Hear a clapping sound coming from out of range where we can't see
- Zeta very sure it's two hands clapping (nat 20 perception roll - total 25)
- 4 figures emerge from the sides of the temple wearing cloaks with hoods on the top of them
- None of them seem to be clapping so there may be a 5th one
- Forfax floats angel-like
- "The gravity well will remain pure. We're here to ensure it. Stand aside."
- Response: Gruff echoing grunt "Hm" that sounds akinly familiar

- Forfax raises further in the air: "Final warning. Out of our way!"
- Uses "Radiant soul" feature. Glows brighter, wings get larger, etc - gets more "angelic"
- Snickering laughter from the 4 hooded individuals
- Forfax starts flying forward: "Time to shut their mouths Walt"
- Evil Nyx: "That's quite far enough! We're missing one. We've had to send an errand out to go get her"
- Forfax: "So what's the plan Nyx? What happens now?"
- Evil Nyx: "We wait"
- Oby: "So who are the others? I know Research isn't with you anymore"
- Evil Nyx: "Oh sadly no. He was supposed to come back but he didn't. Seeing that you're here I suppose you had something to do with that."

- Evil Nyx: "Never quite right after that last operation" - referring to Research
- "So. Why are you here Forfax? Do you even know?"
- Forfax gives his goals and tells Nyx he'll destroy her if he has to
- Evil Obyron: "You don't know what the fuck you're doing here. You've been sent on some half-filled truths. No. No we've done too much work for you to just up and come and stop us now. Our side will win this day."
- Oby: "What is your side? What is your goal in this?"
- Evil Oby: "To become part of the whole once more"
- Evil Walt: "Shut the fuck up you two. He didn't say to share your entire life story to these motherfuckers"
- Evil Algorex doesn't drop hood and doesn't seem to actually be wearing clothes but instead seems to just be absorbing light like a black hole
- Evil Walt: "You fuckers are gonna wait here till we're good and ready"
- Evil Oby: "Whose that with you? That one over there?" and points at Zeta
- Oby: "That's Zeta. She's the best of us"
- Zeta whispers to the group: "Uhmm why is there two of all of you?"
- Forfax whispers back: "No idea"
- Forfax: "If they want us to wait, I think it's in our best interest to not"
- Evil Nyx: "Don't do anything foolish now"
- Forfax: "If your friend is late to the party that's kinda on you isn't it?"

- Two of the warden creatures come out from the portals, one with angel wings and one looking like a devil
- We recognize them as Auri and Ashiok
- Pull out swords, one with black fiery energy and one with purplish fiery energy
- Spectral chains wrap around the creature which begins to wail in pain
- Step back into the portals and the creature is torn into two pieces through the portals and the portals disappear
- Mouths on the ground begin to slowly turn into a weird gelatinous thing
- Pulls out "Negative Plane Stone" from inventory

- Evil Walt: "Well what the fuck was that?"
- Forfax yells out: "Are you ready to stand aside?!"
- Party moves up next to Forfax
- Evil Walt cracks knuckles: "Welp, figured this was gonna happen one way or another"
- Evil Algorex melts into puddle on the ground and disappears into a shadow in the cracks of the stone
- Evil Oby pulls out a cannon launcher
- Evil Nyx pulls out the dagger she previously held to Forfax: "This is not how it was supposed to happen"
- Evil Walt: "Just shut the fuck up and beat them into a pulp"
- Forfax: "There's still time to join the winning side! We've got them outnumbered"
- Flips coin in the air to Nyx
- Crit fail on persuasion
- Fast rush of wind behind Forfax and black winged person carrying something in other hand snatches coin out of the air

- Humanoid appears to be unconscious and wearing solid white armor

- Evil Forfax: "Ah. Finally. We're all back together as one big family. I must say handsome devil (to Forfax), who is that friend behind you? Seems our numbers are a bit off"
- Forfax: "I found in my travels that there are some that operate outside the bounds of the story"
- Evil Walt: "Well at least the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You two speaking all that cryptic bullshit"
- Forfax: "Walt, you'll find that I'm not the apple or the tree. I'm the whole fucking grove"
- Evil Forfax flips coin back to Forfax: "Let the ritual continue. I hope Walt wasn't too mean to you. You do know how he is"
- Forfax: "I don't believe we're on the same page here. We've come to stop what you're here to do"
- Evil Forfax: "What I've come to do? I've come to help you have that baby. You are here to have that baby no? You've been calling on our great god to help you. We're all here to serve the same purpose. We're two sides of the same coin"
- Forfax: "The gravity well must remain pure. I don't understand your part in this"
- Evil Forfax: "Everybody needs a midwife."
- Glances off to the side
- "That's not necessary Al, just stop
- Evil Algorex had snuck up on Walt and Zeta
- "Perhaps a family reunion is in order!" - glancing at Obyron
- "I will say, it was hard to get here. Those galophene fight like a motherfucker"
- Oby: "Is that my sister?!"
- Evil Forfax: "One in the same. Although I must say I don't think she's exactly the same person as last time you saw her"
- Oby: "What did you do to her?!"
- Evil Forfax: "I did nothing to her. Now, her father… well that's kinda complicated isn't it? Her king? At least at that time… recognized what Research brought to her. He simply restored her memories but what you two were in your past was not good I will say."
- "Do you know how much blood is on your collective hands?"
- Oby: "I only know the blood that's on my own hands. Maybe you can enlighten me further. I've seen some visions. I know the blood on Kwan's hands but"
- Evil Forfax: scoops up Nyx's body and asks Oby to come up the stairs
- Mirrored surface becomes opening to more stairs and Evil Forfax begins to walk up stairs
- "Oh the number of worlds that have fallen under the heels of your boot. Kwan did the Astral Sea a kindness in killing you. Well…killing you as it were… your kind doesn't exactly die"
- Oby looks back at Forfax: "So what say you, Forfax?"
- Forfax rubs his fingers together and looks down at his coin, looks back at Walt with a lost expression on his face
- Walt: "Dude. I've got nothing. Tell me what to do"
- Forfax takes a deep breath, looks at Zeta quizzically for a moment, then says "Of everyone here, you're probably the only one who can truly be objective. What's the play captain?"
- Zeta: "I have no fucking clue"
- On a perception 16 roll, Algorex notices the mouths and eyes all over him are slowly starting to dissolve back into him

- Forfax: "So, we're all on the same side and want the same thing. If that's the case, then Nyx can return what she stole from me, yes?"
- Alt Forfax: "Oh? What thievery has occurred?"
- Forfax to Alt Nyx: "Well tell him. What did you take from me and for what purpose?"
- Alt Nyx: "It was the Tincture from Raffine"
- Alt Forfax: "Ah! It seems there was a misunderstanding. You see that was always meant for me and it was given to you by mistake. So Nyx here was kind enough to get it back. Nothing stolen."
- Alt Nyx: "Also you gave it up willingly"
- Forfax: "You're asking for quite a bit of trust. But you’re not sharing anything"
- Some back and forth about whether they're against us
- Forfax: "Research abducted Nyx. You worked with Research and here you stand"
- Alt Forfax: "Research does things in his own way. I simply requested that he bring you here. It seems that diplomacy was not his strong suit I suppose. I apologize if he caused you any heartburn"
- Zeta: "And why was it you want us here again?"
- Alt Forfax: "We all must be here for the ceremony to begin"
- Zeta and Alt Forfax share some sarcasm
- Forfax: "What is the outcome?"
- Alt Forfax: "We're going to start the Astralis again, of course. Is that not what you desire as well?"
- Forfax, looking towards alt Walt: "So the plan, what you all desire from this, the outcome, is to rekindle the Astralis, yes? That's what you all understand we're here to do?"
- Alt party look around at each other then nod yes
- Forfax insight checks alt party, particularly alt Walt, for deception

- No hints of deception but does seem like there's more to the story than the end outcome
- Forfax: "I'd like to hear from Walt" - looks to alt Walt - "When all's said and done, what's going to happen to the world and to us? What's the end game as you understand it?"
- Alt Walt looks to alt Forfax who nods and then alt Walt says: "We get to finish what we've been preparing. The Astralis needs to start again, otherwise, everything's for naught. I just get to go back to being what I was and doing what I do best. So yeah, we're starting the Astralis again. Now are you gonna be a help or a hindrance?"
- Oby: "Why did you take Nyx from us when the plan was to bring us all together?"
- Alt Forfax: "We didn't even know Research until after that occurred. In fact, that's how we ended up discovering him. He took an interest in restarting the Astralis himself. Something about absolution, I don't know. But he was eager to help so I gave him the opportunity. "
- Forfax suggests Oby try to revive Nyx
- Oby doesn’t have the medical skills
- Forfax to Alt Forfax: "May I?"
- Forfax assess Nyx's condition

- Bump on back of head but breathing and well.
- Simply unconscious, likely from being hit on the head.

- Tingling sensation and feels like all the magic drains out into her armor
- Alt Forfax: "Ah. I'm afraid magic doesn't really work on our friend here while she's all Galophene'd up in that white armor"
- Oby asks Zeta if she's able to help remove Nyx's armor
- Zeta: "It's true that the armor can come off but it's not a choice that someone not wearing the armor typically makes"

- Armor starts unlocking and Oby helps remove the armor
- Asks Forfax to try to heal her again
- Forfax casts another level 1 cure wounds

- Nyx bolts up and begins coughing and hacking and clawing at her skin and screams "It burns! It's disgusting and foul, it burns!"
- Golden strands of healing magic begin to turn inky black along her veins
- Nyx looks at her skin then looks around wide-eyed
- Nyx grabs a knife from Oby's hip and stabs him

- Zeta hears in ancient dialect of astral elves that Nyx is beginning the ritual to rebind Obyron's soul into her body
- Oby getting weaker and has a feeling of déjà vu

- Zeta approaches and says "We need to stop this!"
- Alt Forfax: "Far be it for me to interfere with your groups business. I'm not here to cast judgement on exactly how you came to be and what this is all about. I'll just step aside and let you handle your business but I will say the well awaits and time grows short"

- Black shadow ripples across her skin. She spits "Disgusting mage" in a language only Zeta understands

- Zeta hits button on suit to shoot out an electrical pulse that casts "Shatter" on the knife

- Nyx: "Is this of your own volition, or are you acting on behalf of her?"

- Hear a pop and a cloud of smoke envelops the area around where Nyx and Forfax were standing

- Alt Forfax raises a hand. "That's enough now". She freezes in place. "There we are. Proper application seems to get the job done." Snaps fingers. "Walt, please get her in place"

- At the top of the stairs, open roof. Look to the sky and see swirling constellations but from this vantage point they seem off. Almost like every time we blink they're opposite of where they were, constantly flip-flopping back and forth

- Hand depression on the door - Alt Forfax places his hand on it. Forfax notices a hand depression on the left side as well. Alt Forfax nods at Forfax and says "Please"
- Forfax does the same after a thoughtful pause recounting all of the truths (or half/partial truths?) that the sphinx gave
- Door opens. Inside is a perfect circle of inky blackness. Seems that light is having a hard time escaping out of it. At the end of it is an angelic statue that Forfax recognizes from his time adrift in the Astral Sea is Celestian. Forfax feels a thumping in his stomach almost as if something is kicking inside of it.
- Alt Forfax: "Ah, finally. It is the only way to get inside. Now, come, we have unfinished business."

- Forfax pulls out his coin and rubs it, looking to the statue of Celestian

- Inky blackness parts ways and forms a set of steps almost like a pool staircase
- Overcome by inky blackness that fills the place. At first unsettling but becomes oddly comforting and reminds him of his time in the astral sea
- Walt follows into the well and brings the hamster ball of Nyx with him
- Alt Forfax breaks from hold person and lifts into the air, looks at Walt and sighs and says "No trust these days. No trust. Such a disappointment. What did we do to you that made it so?"
- Claps his hands together and dispels the magic holding the rest of the alt party
- "Let's not stoop to the level of our guests. We have a job to do. Let's do it"
- Walt just walks under him and continues into the door
- Sees what looks like a golden circle shining along the edge of the well

- Forfax descends into the pool and then turns to face everyone that entered with wide eyes
- Black substance closes in behind Forfax over the stairs he's walking down

- Golden light shining from eyes and mouths as they open up
- Seems to overwhelm the still dark light in the place but doesn't cast any light on the walls
- With an oddly bright flash that doesn't seem to move anywhere, they all appear to turn into balls of light
- Alt Forfax's head sinks into inky blackness and there is a geyser-like eruption
- Forfax feels something pushing him out of the pool as something big rises out of the waters

- Looking up above us in the room almost looks like a mirrored surface
- Can see the scene we're living but instead of the balls of golden light we see the purple balls of light of the Astralis
- Horns of dragon coming out of the ceiling as well as from the floor in a weird paradoxical scene as they merge together
- A roar is emitted as the creature comes out of the liquid
- Creature says telepathically to Forfax: "Once again, reborn. Once again, his child has failed, where mine has succeeded. Now, only one last thing remains. To devour you."
- Wings begin to unfurl and we hear a loud draconic wail that almost shatters our ear drums

- Looking past the hourglass is a mirror image but wrong dragon looking like Bahamut almost like the dragon we just fought
- They slash at each other and combine as the sand mingles
- Looking down see the Rock of Braal
- As the blood spatter hits the ground around the sand we can see recognizable locations in the astral sea itself
- Consciousness lifts up and can see ourself as one of these grains of sand which then turns back into Bahamut himself
- Vision begins to fade.

- Happy Astral Inversion eve all you Rock n Rollas and thuggas from other mothas out jamming across the sea. I bring some sad news this evening, it seems another young lady from the middle city has been reported as missing. This is the 4th one for 4 days in a row now. Pray to whatever thing you call a god for her safe return. The Deep Sea has been all achatter about a certain leader of the Halocene making a visit to The Rock on the hush hush, if you see him please don't get starstruck. Also it seems that Kwon and the Confessors have been on the move lately, heading towards the Eberron system. No doubt panties will be in a ruffle.
